Back today with a couple of posts......Yes!! a couple.... Try to stay conscious long enough to have a little peep.
First up is a layout for the Archiscraps BlogSpot
This was the pic Julene chose for us to take inspiration from

The  curvy nature of the bridge and the serpents head at the end prompted me to scrap a pic of a very unwanted visitor to our shed a few years as we were both sitting there waiting for carpet in the house to dry. I  never in a million years thought I would scrap this pic but here it is.

Next up is a pyramid card I made for Eve Rae over at Funky Flairs Studio and featuring a few of her Christmas flairs

Thanks for popping in!!

Sharing with you today a canvas I have made featuring a couple of gorgeous flairs from Funky Flairs Studio..
The pic is of Kerri Smith and her gorgeous mum taken recently for her Mum's birthday and the inspiration for the canvas came from the very talented Marta Lapkowska after watching a video tute of her on the Lindy's Stamp Gang facebook page
I might also mention that the gorgeous flowers you see are from The Scrappers Garden.

and a few closies of Eve's beautiful flairs

And this one was for the June Recipe Challenge over at Home and Scrapped, they are on facebook now, suss them out.
The pic is one I lifted from facebook  of my youngest daughter Nicole (in the white) and a friend of hers.
Thanks for the challenge Heather Waldron.

Yay!! I have scrapped!!! and sharing with you a layout for bec's tic tac toe challenge over at Orange Paperie & Co. This is a beautiful pic of my grandsons girlfriend Ash, taken in Bali a few weeks ago. He messaged me on facebook and said "hey Nan, wondering if you could be really AWESOME and do a page of Ash for me"......and here it is.
On the layout I have included leaves, punching and chippies.

and here is a closie

The flairs are handmade using google eyes and patterned paper, a little technique I picked up from a visit to Joys Paperwork in Young when I popped over after work to have a chat to Annette and Kim just recently.
Thanks for taking the time to pop in and please head on over to OP and see the spectacular work on display there.

Thought I would try to find my mojo, so I attempted the Scrap Africa challenge for this month...the challenge was to use distressing by using scissors, teabag dyeing, etc. I chose to use my fingernails and a nail file to distress edges of  top page and edges of my pics.. and here it is..

Slacko Me!!

Cant believe I have not blogged since the 5th of January?????  heehee! yes I can. A lot has happened in that time, we've had some unbelievably hot weather, I have met a couple of online scrap friends IRL, and I have been over to Orange to catch up with the gorgeous girls from Orange Paperie and Co.
I have two layouts to share today and first and foremost is the Canvas I did in Orange when I visited on the 8th of Feb. Its for my gorgeous grandson Jake who turns 21 this May. Eeeek! where have the years gone?

Next up is a layout I did for last months challenge at Orange Paperie &Co. It was a challenge about LOVE, and was set by Mary. I chose a pic of three of my grandchildren, Jake and Jess, and their cousin Libby who had a get together shortly before Christmas 2013

Ooops forgot the journaling , sorry Mary!!

The Killers....... March Challenge at Orange Paperie & Co

My turn to set the challenge at OP this month, and I decided to ask everyone to create a layout using a vintage pic but with no vintage colours, ie: no cream, browns etc. I have used a pic from the internet of Burt Lancaster and Ava Gardner who starred in the 1946 screen version of  the novel The Killers by Ernest Hemingway.

I have used one piece of PP from the Kaiser "The Looking Glass " collection, the love birds were fussy cut from an old piece of Graphic 45 pp, the blooms are from Kaiser and Manor House. The die cut was from the Elegant Edges cartridge using the Provocraft cricut, hearts were cut with the cricut using acetate, the little black wooden piece was from Craft Queen. the clock from Scrapmatts and the splats were made with a stamp from Kaiser.

My guest designer for this month is John Weston, pop on over to OP and have a look at his lovely work.
Thanks for looking everyone and hoping you have a fantastic day today

Year 12 Graduation Terrigal High

My youngest grandson Brady has just graduated from year 12..... I feel sooooo old!! (I am old, heehee!) Love you Brades with all my heart. xx

I used a miss mash of old papers for this layout, the gorgeous chippie banner you see I got in a kit from the delightful BECK BEATTIE,her kits are really good value for money, you not only get the kit but have access to videos on you tube to show you how to complete them, you get enough to complete 2 pages with lots of new techniques to try. I still had not used the rest of my kit but had to pinch this fantastic chippie for this layout. T.F.L XX

Challenge for January 2014 at Orange Paperie and Co

oh dear..... another year over and another begun, its already day 4 of the New year.... Happy New Year to one and all, and may this coming year see us all have enough of everything..... not too much... just enough. I am sharing with you today my take on Miss Annette's challenge over at Orange Paperie and Co.... and the challenge was to create a layout about friendships and to document the event, and this is my take.

and this is what I documented.
Mum and Marj, siblings and friends. Marj the second born of nine and Mum the fourth born.. they were always close as children, and their friendship did not diminish over the years... even after meeting and marrying the men of their dreams and going their different ways
This pic was taken in Narooma in December of 2012 and it was to be the last time they ever saw each other, with Marj passing away in June 2013.
Fond memories of Marj will always remain.
